Functional Breathing - an Introduction |
In this practical 90-minute workshop, Rachel Graves, certified Oxygen Advantage Functional Breathing Instructor, will introduce you to functional breathing and explore what it means to breathe light, slow and deep, and why these simple changes can make such a difference to how you feel in everyday life. You’ll explore how the way you breathe can affect things like sleep, stress, concentration and physical activity. Most importantly, Rachel will show you how to bring functional breathing into your actual life — before bed, during a stressful day, on a walk, on your bike or alongside exercise. No complicated routines, and no need to rearrange your life around breathing exercises. You’ll leave with a better understanding of your own breathing and some simple, practical tools that you can explore for yourself. Suitable for all levels. No previous experience needed. Meet Rachel, explore Functional Breathing and sign up for the Oct 4th workshop |
When we went rummaging around Phoenix for content for the new website, we discovered quite a few nuggets had been hiding in plain sight: For example we're chuffed that Phoenix has 4.9 /5 stars on both Google and ClassPass, with more than 5,000 ClassPass ratings. This puts us very firmly up there as one of London's best yoga studios! We also found hundreds of genuine class reviews from our customers — thank you! Rather than plaster five-star quotes all over the website, we’ve used feedback from Momence, Google and ClassPass where it might actually help. A nervous first-timer can hear from someone who remembers how that felt; someone exploring classes can see what other students experienced; and most teacher profiles now include a review that helps bring their teaching style and personality to life. You’ll also find reviews appearing naturally across pages including Our Classes, Meditation and elsewhere around the site. We’ve kept it Phoenix: real words from real people, used as evidence rather than advertising, lightly curated and shown using first names only. |
The Phoenix Journal is a place where you'll find a mixture of news, stories, people and ideas that make Phoenix what it is (it's also useful when you have insomnia;). If there’s a story you think belongs in the Journal, let us know! Onwards and Upwards! |
